Little Phil is a cultivar of a spontaneous mutation that occurred in Queensland, Australia in 2009.  In 2010 propagation via cuttings commenced.  Patented in 2016 little phil is appreciated for it's dense bushy nature.  It grows multiple main stems and  the leaves are long oval in shape coming to a point.  Little phil care is easy and it does well in lower light. The plant height is listed at maxing out at 14 inches.  Our mother plant main stem is about that, but with the big beautiful leaves she is about 2 feet tall.  To date, these have not flowered so no seeds produced.  It is propagated strictly by cuttings.

Light-moderate to low indirect light

Soil-a mix that retains moisture without being soggy and drains well is required. A good mix is 3 parts orchid bark, 1 part perlite, and 2 parts peat moss or coco coir. Peat moss or coco coir is a great substrate because it holds it's own weight in moisture, allows the excess to drain, and then releases that moisture to the roots slowly over time

Water-another easy care piece, allow the top 1/3 of the soil to dry between waterings and then water until excess escapes drainage holes

Humidity-moderate 40% or better

Toxicity-like other philos contains oxalate crystals which can cause skin, mouth, and gastrointestinal irritation
